====Biographical Note====
Son of [[family::Thomas Stillington]] of [[location::Kelfield, Yorkshire]]. BA [[education::Jesus College, Cambridge]] 1690, MA 1693, [[occupation::fellow]] of [[organisations::Jesus College, Cambridge|Jesus College]] from 1694 until his death. [[occupation::vicar|Vicar]] of [[location::Hinxton, Cambridgeshire]].  

====Books====
Stillington used an engraved armorial bookplate dated 1700 (Franks *538). In his will, he left to Jesus College such books of his as were thought worthy of acceptance, plus a further £20 for the purchase of books. These books were to have his name written at the front. Any books not selected were to be disposed of at his executor's discretion; it is not known how many books the College took.
