Son of Richard Fermor, and a member of a long-established Roman Catholic gentry family at Tusmore, Oxfordshire.
Books
Fermor is listed in Edward Bernard's Catalogi manuscriptorum,1697, as owning a number of manuscripts, probably largely of monastic origin. His will has no specific mention of books, though there are references to bedding, lined, hangings, pewter, cabinets, china and other household stuff; much of his property was put in the hands of trustees, to sell to pay debts.
