Allsope's probate inventory includes ca.100 books, valued at £4 3s 4d (from a total estate valued at £12 6s 7d). The books are mostly in Latin, with some Greek and English, with a mixture of theology, philosophy, classics, medicine and other topics. He also had some alchemical equipment.
