Join the Book Owners Online team for a collaborative online research day about bookplates and the historical book owners who used them.
Open to everyone interested in provenance and book history, come along to learn about bookplates and Book Owners Online from David Pearson and his team, then put your skills into practice by composing a BOO entry or two.We will provide a selection of bookplates and book owners who require investigation, and a variety of resources to help as you research and compose your entry (links will be provided via email before the event).
Our Zoom room will open at 10am with presentations about researching book owners and Book Owners Online. At 1pm David Pearson will give a lunchtime talk about bookplates and their identification. The Zoom will stay open until 5pm as a space for discussion and questions about the bookplates and owners we are researching.
