Walter STUART or STEWART, 6th Lord Blantyre, 1683-1713
Biographical Note
The eldest son of Alexander Stuart, 5th Lord Blantyre, whom he succeeded in 1704. In the Scottish Parliament he voted against the Union with England, but was afterwards chosen one of the sixteen Representative Scottish Peers at the general election in 1710. He died at Westminster in 1713 and was buried in the Richmond vault in Henry VII's Chapel in Westminster Abbey.

The extent and disposition of his library is not known.
