Books
Kimpson's library was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 7 January 1730, together with the books of Richard Hutton d.1723. The titlepage of the sale catalogue announced "a large collection of books, relating to the history, antiquities, and constitution of Great-Britain and Ireland; of the history of most foreign nations, and the antiquities of several of their principalities and counties: of architecture, sculpture, law, divinity, trade, husbandry, and classicks, in Usum Delphini, of the Paris editions, with several printed by Aldus, Rob. Stephens, and other curious printers: with a great many Italian books printed by Giolilo, Juntae, &c." There were also "an hundred volumes of veilum mss. on various subjects".
