Isaac STEELE or STEEL 1687-1721

Biographical Note

Son of Thomas Steele of Millom Castle, Cumberland. BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1710; sur-master of St Paul's School, 1719.

Books

Steele's library, together with that of "a person of quality lately deceased", was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 6 February 1722; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Journal.
