Aaron TESTAS ca.1640-1726

Biographical Note

In his will, originally written in French in 1723, Testas describes himself as the "Minister of the Ancient French Church in Threadneedle Street in London living in Hand Ally in the parish of St Buttolphs without Bishopsgate aged eighty three years and a half and upwards". On the second page he describes himself as "refugied".

Books

Testas makes no mention of his library in his will, and his books were sold alongside those of Thomas Throwgood by retail sale in London beginning 25 November 1726. The sale was advertised in the Daily Journal and the Daily Courant.
