Biographical Note

Of Wigan and Poole, Lancashire, lawyer; clerk of the peace for Lancashire 1612-21. Some sources also mention him as a merchant.

Books

Rigby's books, about 80 titles in all, were listed in a 1624 inventory, edited as PLRE 269. Ca. 50 of the books are legal, while the remainder include a significant proportion of history, with some medicine and only a little theology.
