Anne Southwell, Lady Southwell 1574-1636

Biographical Note

Author and poet. Daughter of Sir Thomas Harris, married Sir Thomas Southwell, and after his death in 1626, Captain Henry Sibthorpe.

Books

Her commonplace book, which includes original writings of hers, is now Folger MS V.b.198. In 1631, she moved three trunkfuls of books to her new household.
