Biographical Note
Second son of Henry Bertie of Chesterton, Oxfordshire, and grandson of Montagu Bertie, 2nd Earl of Lindsey. BA Magdalen College, Oxford 1715, MA 1718; rector of Uffington, Lincolnshire 1719-44.
Books
Bertie used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 2376); the extent and disposition of his library are not known.
