Books
In his will, Seward directed that £5 be given to the Vicar of Kensington to buy copies of William Beveridge's The church-catechism explained to be distributed to children of the charity school there. Otherwise, his will has no mention of books; most of his estate was left to his daughter Anne. His library was auctioned in London, beginning 21 August 1716; the sale included "a curious collection of Manuscripts and pamphlets, and a set of the Popish Controversie", as well as book cases.
