Biographical Note

BA St John's College, Cambridge 1547, MA 1549, fellow there from 1551, licensed to practise medicine in 1557.

Books

Raven's probate inventory includes ca.235 books, valued at £11 1s 8d (from a total estate valued at just under £50). The books are mostly in Latin, with some Greek and English, and cover a range of subjects including theology, medicine, philosophy, classics, and other topics; he also had some maps. He bequeathed a number of specific books to academic colleagues. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.97 (see full citation below).
