Francis THOMPSON 1639/40-1715

Biographical Note

Son of James Thompson, merchant of London and Amsterdam. BA Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge 1660, MA and fellow 1663, BD 1670, DD 1680. University Preacher 1669. Rector of St Matthew, Friday Street, London 1666, President of Sion College 1695.

Books

Thompson’s library was sold by retail sale in London, 7.3.1716 (1950 lots). It included 350 lots of pamphlets, as well as his bookcases.
