Biographical Note
He is assumed to be the George Mongomerie, son and heir of John Montomerie ‘of the city of Edenborough, esq.’, who was admitted to the Middle Temple in 1709. He had property at Horndon on the Hill, Essex. Married to Abigail Turner, and father of George Montgomerie MP.
