James HARVEY or HARVY 1658/9-1728

Biographical Note

Probably the son of Francis Harvey of Cockfield, Sussex. Matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge 1675, but did not graduate; admitted at the Middle Temple, 1674. Recorder of Colchester, and of Sudbury.

Books

Harvey's library was sold in London by retail sale beginning 13 May 1729, together with books from the libraries of Robert Sanderson and Thomas Oliver. No catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Post and the Daily Journal.
