John DOUGLAS 1714-1766

Biographical Note

Son of John Douglas of Leeds. BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1736, MA 1740; rector of Eccleston, Lancashire, where he was buried in 1766.

Books

Douglas used an engraved armorial bookplate, made sometime after he graduated MA in 1740 (Franks 8911); the extent and disposition of his library is not known.
