Biographical Note

Son of Mungo Haldane 13th Laird of Gleneagles (1636–1685). Educated at the University of Aberdeen (1674). Member of the Scottish Parliament, 1689–1693 and 1700–1707 and of the British Parliament, 1707–1708.
