Biographical Note

Of Suffolk. BA Jesus College, Cambridge 1656, MA 1659. Vicar of Boreham, Essex 1657 (ejected 1662); pastor in New Broad Street, London 1678.

Books

In his will, Oakes bequeathed all his goods and chattels, including his books, to his son John. His library was auctioned in London 20.5.1689; the sale catalogues contains (1106 lots).
