Books

An engraved armorial bookplate with the wording "Ames of Norfolke" is thought to have been commissioned and first used by Amyas in the 1720s, although it was later used also by his son John Amyas 1698-1737, a Norwich surgeon, and by his son John (an attorney) and other 18th century members of the family. The size and contents of the family library is not known.
