Peter CARDONNEL 1614-1667

Biographical Note

Born at Caen, moved to Southampton in the 1630s where he developed a career as a merchant; reputedly lent money to Charles II during the Civil War. Undertook various literary works and translations; a number of his surviving books have been documented.
