Richard SMITH 1712-1772

Biographical Note

Son of George Smith, rector of Higham, Kent. BA Jesus College, Cambridge 1734, MA 1737; vicar of Alkham, Kent 1747-72, rector of Burmarsh, Kent 1754-72.

Books

Smith used an engraved armorial bookplate, made when he was at Jesus (Franks 27363); the extent and disposition of his library are not known.
