The library of "the late eminent Robert Davie Esq; of Dickingham in Norfolk, counsellor at law" - who has not been identified - was sold by reatil sale in London, beginning 18 May 1726. No catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Courant and Daily Post as being "a large collection of books in most languages, relating to the history of Great Britain, Ireland, France, Spain, and most other countries".
