Biographical Note
Younger son of Robert Brooke, 2nd Baron Brooke, of Beauchamps Court, Warwickshire. Inherited the title from his elder brother Francis in 1658. Matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford1654, but did not graduate. Lord Lieutenant of [[location{{Staffordshire]], 1660, and Recorder of Warwick.
Books
Greville's library was auctioned in London, 2.12.1678, as part of a joint sale with the books of Gabriel Sangar and another "who lived" (dum vixit). The sale catalogue contains 2150 lots, and is subdivided (unusually) into sections to allow identification of the sources of the books (Sangar's are headed S, the anonymous third party, H).
