Roger HOWMAN 1640-1705

Biographical Note

Son of Roger Howman of Salle, Norfolk, rector there. BA Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge 1662, MA 1665, MD 1674. Practised as a physician in Norwich.

Characteristic Markings

Howman used an engraved bookplate, Franks 15569, also used in adapted form by his son and grandson; the extent of his library is not known.
