Biographical Note

Born at Bishop Middleham, son of John Ward. BA Christ's College, Cambridge 1593, MA 1596, BD 1603, DD 1610; fellow of Emmanuel College 1596, Master of Sidney Sussex College 1610.Prebendary of Wells 1610, of York 1618, royal chaplain 1611, archdeacon of Taunton 1615; he held various other ecclesiastical preferments.
