====Biographical Note====
Son of [[family::Nicholas Hunt]], of [[location::Canterbury]]. MB [[education::Corpus Christi College, Cambridge]] 1699, after which he became a [[occupation::physician]] in [[location::Canterbury]].   

====Books====
Hunt gave or [[bequest::bequeathed]] his library to [[beneficiary::Canterbury Cathedral]] in [[date of bequest::1714]], “in wch were a great many curiositys purposely purchased … a little before his death”. The Cathedral donors' book notes that these included many [[subject::philology|philological]], [[subject::philosophy|philosophical]] and [[subject::medicine|medical]] books, including some in [[language::French]]. He was also noted as a collector of coins and other antiquities.
