Biographical Note
English merchant based in Port Royal, Jamaica, who died there in 1684 when an inventory of his goods was drawn up.
Books
Inventory includes an itemised list of books, ca. 110 vols plus “30 playes, pamphlets, songs, etc”. The contents are mostly English devotional, historical or literary texts and may be a collection of books intended for sale, rather than a personal collection, or a mixture of the two.
