Biographical Note
Fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge 1699-1728 (though only occasionally resident there); MD 1700, having previously studied medicine at the University of Leiden, where he matriculated in 1691. He was at Padua in 1710, and noted in Venn as having "spent most of his time travelling, as a tutor".
Books
Hobart's library was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 23 April 1730, as part of a joint sale with the books of William Hewer and John Hancocke.
