Biographical Note

Son of a London apothecary. BA St Alban Hall, Oxford 1653, MA 1658; later graduated MD at the University of Padua. Practised as a physician in Norfolk; honorary fellow of the College of Physicians, 1664. Described in his sale catalogue as physician to William III, and Queen Anne.

Books

Lawrence's library was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 29.6.1715. The catalogue contains 1120 lots, divided only by format (folios, 249 lots; quartos, 194; octavos, 369; smaller formats, 308).
