Of Lancashire. BA Jesus College, Cambridge 1676; rector of Ashurst, Kent 1692, vicar of Birling, 1715.

Winterbottom's library was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 31 March 1718, along with the books of Elizabeth Capell, Dowager Countess of Essex.
