Wadham WYNDHAM 1662-1736
Biographical Note
Fourth son of Sir Wadham Wyndham, judge, of [[location::Orchard Wyndham, Somerset] (1609-1668)]. His education and career are not known but his father bequeathed to him a house in Salisbury, St Edmund's College, which became his main residence.
Books
Wyndham used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 32721), and two armorial binding stamps. The extent of his library is not known, but most of it will have passed with the bulk of his estate to his wife and then to his eldest son Henry. The only mention of books in his will is a direction that his daughter Barbara should have "the books she hath and which are usually called and accounted hers".
