William GULSTON or GOLDSTON 1636-1684

Biographical Note

Son of Nathaniel Gulston of Wymondham, Leicestershire. BA St John's College, Cambridge 1658, MA 1661, DD 1679. Prebendary of Chichester 1666, rector of Simondsbury, Dorset 1670, chaplain to the Duchess of Somerset. Bishop of Bristol 1679.

Books

In his will, Gulston bequeathed "my library and study of bookes and all my household goods at Symondsbury" to his son Seamer. His library was auctioned in London, 3.4.1689 (ca.2400 lots).
