William HAWKINS or HAWKYNS d.1683

Biographical Note

BA Magdalen College, Oxford 1653, fellow 1653, MA 1656, BD 1665, DD 1676. Vicar of Drayton, Norfolk 1662, canon of Winchester 1662, prebendary of Norwich 1667; held various other Norfolk livings.

Books

Hawkins's library was sold by retail sale in London, 13.4.1685; the catalogue contains 2521 lots, but its organisation and a reference on the titlepage to "aliis" suggests that these may not all have been his books.

Characteristic Markings

None of Hawkins's books have been identified.
