William NICHOLLS fl.1699-1752

Biographical Note

Son of the barrister John Nicholls and Frances (Foote), of Trereife House, Penzance, Cornwall. (The ‘fl.’ dates are derived from legal documents held at the Cornwall Record Office.)

Books

He had an engraved armorial bookplate (‘Willm. Nicholls, Esqr., of Trereife, Cornwall’): Franks 21815 (with Gambier Howe noting ‘plate of Frank Nicholls with inscription altered?’). The disposition and content of his library are not established.
