William PIERCE or PEARCE 1641/2-1707

Biographical Note

Of Westwick, Cambridgeshire, son of Valentine Pierce. BA King's College, Cambridge 1662, MA 1665, fellow there. Rector of Malton and Heslerton, Yorkshire; chaplain to the Duke of Richmond, who he accompanied on his ambassadorial mission to Denmark.

Pierce’s library was auctioned in London, 8.7.1708 (joint sale, no catalogue survives).
